Best Friends Animal Society

Best Friends Animal Society is a national animal welfare leader with approximately 300,000 members who are dedicated to the mission of ending the killing in America's animal shelters. Best Friends’ presence in New York is anchored by our Pet Adoption Center in SoHo, which receives over 30,000 visitors annually.

Our New York supporters are interested in learning the gubernatorial candidates’ positions on animal welfare issues. To that end, below please find a list of four brief questions, to which we hope you will respond. The responses will be shared on Best Friends’ website and shared with over 54,000 New York email subscribers.

Met Council Research and Educational Fund is conducting a candidate survey for all people running for Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and the 20 state senate districts in New York with most regulated units so that our members and the general public can be informed about your positions.

CAAAV, the Committee Against Anti-Asian Violence, was founded in 1986. It is a multi-issue, pan-Asian grassroots membership organization fighting for racial, social, and economic justice. This questionnaire asks about immigration and housing issues.

About Equality Long Island: Equality Long Island (EQLI) is the 501(c)(4) arm of the LGBT Network. As a non-partisan organization, EQLI provides the Long Island and Queens communities with new and unique opportunities to get involved with public policy and government officials through community education, grassroots organizing, and legislative advocacy and lobbying.
