Fight corporate politics, organize for people, peace and planet with the Green Party. Apply to be a Grassroots Organizing Fellow with the Howie Hawkins for Governor campaign this summer.

We are currently able to offer 3-5 summer Grassroots Organizing Fellowships with a $1000 stipend.  Organizing Fellows will be based in Syracuse, Albany or New York City and will work approximately 20 hours per week during the summer. Please apply ASAP.

Organizing Fellows must have a strong interest in building grassroots participation, organization, and independent political action against the corporate rulers and their political representatives in the Democratic and Republican parties. Fellows should also be computer savvy. Should have a demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with others. Experience with issue or electoral organizing preferred but not required. We are especially looking for individuals with a passion for social change and who are interested in making a career in organizing.

To apply for the Grassroots Organizing Fellowship, fill out this application and please send a resume to ursula.rozum(a)gmail.com - also, please send us something to get to know you a little better, something that shows off your skills - either a writing sample, a piece of literature you've designed, a video/vlog telling us why you'd like to spend your summer working with the Hawkins for Governor campaign. In your application, please highlight your prior experiences with social change activism and/or the Green Party.

We are able to offer 3-5 stipends to highly motivated Organizing Fellows and there are also unpaid internship and volunteer opportunities available. You may be able to earn college credit.

More and more people are ready to dump the two political parties of Wall Street and build a movement to demand that society’s resources be allocated based on human need, not corporate greed.

Grassroots Organizing Fellows will work with our campaign to build a movement to change politics in New York. Organizing Fellows will work alongside activists and Greens in their area to build the Hawkins/Jones campaign through public outreach, supporting behind the scenes work, helping with media and social media, organizing special events and organizing opportunities for campaign supporters to take on leadership. We promise a friendly working environment and opportunities to learn through trainings with our experienced campaign team.
