Whatever can ruin our future should not be part of our present. Fossil fuels and nuclear power have proven themselves to be environmentally ruinous sources of energy. There can be no legitimate reason why we as a nation should continue to invest, subsidize and encourage the continued use of the dirty fuels of the past, while holding off on a full-scale accelerated development of what we already know are environmentally clean alternatives. Fracking is the red line in this struggle to ban dirty fuels and promote a green energy future for the common good.
