Press Conference Thurs., Aug. 28 on Banning Drilling Waste in New York Landfills

Corning, NY -- Howie Hawkins, the Green Party nominee for Governor of New York, will hold a press conference in Corning this Thursday, August 28, 2014 to discuss his campaign and his plans to ban frack drilling wastes in New York landfills. The press conference will be held at 4:00 pm at the Southeast Steuben County Library, 300 Nasser Civic Center Plaza in Corning. Hawkins will Hawkins, from Syracuse, is coming to Corning to attend a meeting of the Steuben-Livingston Central Labor Council Thursday evening.

The press conference is free and open to the public. Following the press conference, Hawkins will greet supporters at 5:30 pm at the Soul Full Cup Coffeehouse at 81 W Market St in Corning.
